Spiritual Stew is a values clarification activity that compares the reasons why we eat - it's timeƒwe're hungryƒeveryone else is doing it - with the reasons why we pray - it's time...we're spiritually hungry...everyone else is doing it! After that set induction (students come up with the reasons and the parallels), students are given bowls and choose from slips spread out before them "pantry-like." The slips represent their responses to why they pray, how they pray, when they pray, etc. There are also "spice slips" for things an individual would personally add to the already provided options. Students then spread out their slips and consider what their own spiritual stew says about their connection to prayer Includes: 4 title cards, how, when, where, why cards and instructions.
